It would have been a somewhat logical to choose one of the incorrect answers which began with 'k'. This is because those familiar with the Norwegian language are aware that many Norwegian words have similar spellings to their English counterparts, only the English 'c' is replaced with a 'k'. (example: komputer--computer, katt-cat, Eric--Erik, broccoli--brokkoli)

The potato is first mentioned in Norway in 1694 in a book called "Horticultura" by Christian Gartner. Exactly how long the potato has been in existence in Norway is a matter of contention.
