Answer: Spartanburg

As railroads grew in South Carolina in the late 19th century, Spartanburg was located at the intersection of many tracks and quickly became a railroad hub. At one point, up to 90 trains passed through or stopped in Hub City. Now it is the crossroads for Interstate 26 and Interstate 85.

Surrentum is the latin name for Sorrento, in Italy. Sorrento is famous for its production of Limoncello. So now I know why ArlingtonVA wanted to go there!

The Rockefeller Center in New York was declared a "National Historic Landmark" in 1987. New York is also home to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, as well as the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx. The Bronx is one of the five boroughs of New York, the others being Manhattan, Staten Island, Queens and Brooklyn.

After it was liberated by the Allies in 1945 it was preserved as a memorial to those who perished there. Bergen-Belsen, Dachau, and Ravensbrück, were all concentration camps in Germany, with the latter being a camp specifically for women.

The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan ordered the construction of the Taj Mahal as a memorial to his wife Mumtâz Mahal, who died giving birth to their fourteenth child Gauhara Begum. Construction of the Taj Mahal began in 1632 and completed around 1853. The Mausoleum is now a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Jahanara Begum Sahib was the eldest daughter of Shah Jahan and Mumtâz Mahal.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust site at Caerlaverock is a wetland nature reserve in Scotland, to the south of Dumfries, famous for its flocks of barnacle geese. Caerlaverock is special for non-ornithological reasons as well, as it is home to one of only two UK populations of the Horseshoe Shrimp, known as the "living fossil."

Lake Volta lies completely within Ghana, on the west coast of Africa. The lake is formed by the Akosombo Dam, which was completed in 1965. Although many people had to be relocated because of the dam, it provides electricity for much of the country. There is a National Park, called the Digya National Park of Ghana, on part of the western side of the lake.

Rotorua is known for its hot mud pools and geysers, and attracts tourists from abroad as well as from within New Zealand. Due to the sulphur given off from the geothermal activity Rotorua has gained the nickname Sulphur City.

Taupo comes from the Maori for "The great cloak of Tia." Tia was the name of the person who discovered the lake.
