Answer: Napoleon III

Louis Napoleon Bonaparte was elected President of France in 1848 and proclaimed himself Emperor (Napoleon III) in 1851. He was deposed in 1870 during the Franco-Prussian War, when he and about 30,000 men were taken prisoner by the Prussians at Sedan. (The French thereupon proclaimed a republic).

His son, the Prince Imperial (Crown Prince) Eugene was killed in the Zulu war while serving in the British army.

Answer: Maximilian

Maximilian, a Habsburg prince was made Mexican Emperor by Napoleon III in 1861. He was executed by the troops of Mexican President Juarez in 1867. He was childless and adopted as heirs the children of the only other Mexican Emperor Agustin I(1822-1823) who, like Maximilian, was deposed and eventually executed(1824).
3. The last Emperor of Haiti was?

Answer: Faustin I

Faustin I was among Haiti's most able rulers. Elected President at the age of 65 in 1847 he was proclaimed Emperor in 1851 and then was deposed and exiled in 1859.

The last German Emperor (Kaiser) was Wilhelm II. He became emperor in 1888 and was forced to abdicate in 1918 at the end of World War I. He died in 1941 in exile during World War II.

General Yuan Shikai overthrew the last Manchu Emperor Puyi in 1912 and became President of the Chinese Republic but in 1916 he proclaimed himself Emperor and died that year. At that time China reverted back to a republican form of government. So Yuan Shikai not Puyi was the last Emperor of China.
