1. Junction 26 of the M1 is closest to which city?

Answer: Nottingham

Although junction 25 is technically closer to Nottingham, junction 26 can often be a faster route into the city, especially during rush hour.
2. Which of the following service stations is not between junctions 12 to 26?

Answer: Woodhall service station

Woodhall service station is in fact up towards Sheffield.
3. Only two service station between junctions 12 to 26 serve LPG fuel (Liquid petroleum gas) Northampton services is one, which is the other?

Answer: Donnington service station

Yep, despite the fact there are more and more cars now running on LPG, it would appear that its still pretty hard to come by. Particularly on the M!

The river Leen actually flows through Bulwell, a leafy well to do suburb in the north of Nottingham

You would go UP the sliproad at junction 25 to access the A52, now known as Brian Clough way!

Surprisingly you can exit at this junction when travelling northbound, but you are unable to do so in a southbound direction.

At junction 19 northbound, the M1 breaks into 6 lanes. 3 to continue on the M1, and 3 to enter the M6

Travelling south from J26, they are Trowell, Donnington, Leicester Forest East, Watford Gap, Northampton and Newport Pagnall services.
10. On any particular rush hour. Between which 2 junctions can you almost always guarantee queues?

Answer: 23a to 24a

At least 3 out of 5 days there will be horrendous queues between junctions 23a and 24a. It always amazes me though how many drivers will go into the fast lane at this point. That's the worst of the queues!
From experience, go into the slow lane and stay there for the duration of the queue. You will be out the other end in half the time as the fast lane losers!
