1. Wrestling Hall of Famer

Answer: Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) was the 16th US president (1861-1865). As a youngster he had a reputation for strength and audacity and eventually became an accomplished wrestler. He was a huge man standing at 6ft 4 in and wrestling in those early years was more hand-to-hand. In nearly 12 years of wrestling he recorded only one defeat. He was admitted to the Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1992.

Answer: Andrew Johnson

Andrew Johnson (1808-1875) was the 17th president of the USA (1865-1869). He was a tailor's apprentice and continued to make his own suits while president.
3. Only president wounded in the American Civil War

Answer: Rutherford B. Hayes

Rutherford B. Hayes (1822-1893) was the 19th US president (1877-1881). Hayes practised law in Ohio and joined the Union Army in 1861. He was wounded five times, but his most serious wound occurred at the Battle of South Mountain in September 1862. He finished his military career in 1865 with the rank of Brevet Major General.

John Tyler (1790-1862) was the 10th US president (1841-1845). Tyler had 8 children with his first wife, Letitia Christian who died while he was in office in 1842. He had 7 children with his second wife, Julia Gardiner.

Answer: Benjamin Harrison

Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) was the 23rd US president (1889-1893). While in office he had electricity installed in the White House. Because of this new technology he often went to bed with the lights on for fear of being electrocuted if he touched the switches.

Answer: Grover Cleveland

He was born Stephen Grover Cleveland (1837-1908) but in adult life was only known as Grover Cleveland. His two terms as US president were from 1885-1889 and 1893-1897.

Answer: Dwight Eisenhower

David Dwight Eisenhower (1890-1969) was the 34th US president from 1953-1961. With the help of the US Golf Association and private donors, a White House Putting Green was installed in 1954. The green lies only a short walk from the Oval Office. Many of his successors have been avid golfers.

Thomas Woodrow Wilson (1856-1924) was the 28th president of the United States (1913-1921). His portrait is on the largest US bill ever printed from December 1934 - January 1935. The $100.000 bills were used by Federal Reserve Banks and not circulated in public.

Gerald Ford, born Leslie Lynch King Jr. (1913-2006) was the 38th US president from 1974-1977. Gerald Ford played football for the University of Michigan, Wolverines and helped them to two national titles in 1932-1933. To earn extra money while at college Gerald Ford once appeared in a spread of photos with his then girlfriend Phyllis Brown in Look Magazine and on the cover of Cosmopolitan in April 1942.
