Answer: University of Calgary

It's a good thing too, because anyone who's been to Calgary in the winter knows it can be one of the coldest and windiest cities in Canada. As for the elevator, that has got to be a relief during term paper season when a typical student is laden with books.

2. This university was the first in Canada.

Answer: Université Laval

Laval's roots date back to 1663 when Monseigneur de Laval, first bishop of New France opened a seminary in Quebec City, however a royal charter from Queen Victoria was not obtained until 1852.
3. This university boasts the discoverers of insulin (one of them being a Nobel Prize winner), the first Canadian woman in space, and the author of a famous war poem as alumni.

Answer: University of Toronto

Doctors Frederick Banting and Charles Best discovered insulin at University of Toronto, with Banting receiving a Nobel Prize. Lester B. Pearson, a former Prime Minister of Canada graduated from it, as did Roberta Bondar and John McCrae, the author of "In Flanders Fields".

Dalhousie University is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where, on December 6, 1917 the French ship, the Mont Blanc collided with the Belgian ship, the Imo. The Mont Blanc was carrying a full load of explosives, and created a massive explosion killing 2000 and injuring 9000 more.
