New Year's Resolution
Green, the colour of hope. I am setting myself goals for this year and I hope that I can fulfil them all. I hope to lose weight by eating more sensibly and get fitter by walking a lot further. I've tried diets and keep fit classes but walking is by far the most enjoyable. I will be delighted with myself, if I can do this, as ten years ago, I was slim and enjoyed wearing nice clothes, instead of big nice clothes.
My dog has made a great difference to my fitness and I walk him a mile a day, before I go to work and at weekends, with my husband, three or four miles.
It's such a privilege seeing all the wildlife that live in my area and I love patting all the other dogs we meet on the way!
I am hoping to have dropped a couple of dress sizes before the summer and sincerely hope I can get into my favourite clothes again. What a nice feeling it will be, when on a work's night's out, I will feel confident in myself.
I've got good willpower and I stopped smoking twenty years ago, so I can do this. The only drawback is my medication, which slows down by metabolism but I'm sure changing my diet and excercise will make a difference.
