Okay, I will not kid you, I have always found this movie
completely, completely terrifying, but also hilarious. I read the book (by the way, did anyone else
realize that the cover of the hardcover glows in the dark?), and was thinking "You know, they should
make a movie." Well, what do you know? They did in 2003, and it starred David Keith, Mel Harris,
Leighton Meester, and Douglas Smith. The author, Frank Peretti, also had a cameo as Dr. Algernon
Wheeling. He was hilarious! Anyway, I watched this movie about four times the first time I rented
it. However, when I went to rent it again, it had somehow disappeared from the only video store in
town who had it. So, I'm buying my own copy. Anyway, I recommend "Hangman's Curse" to anyone who's
looking for a frightening flick, plus it has good Christian lessons.
