What does this say about me?

Ok, so here's a link to a website that I find fascinating - http://www.crimelibrary.com/index.html

I watch all of the true criminal shows like American Justice, City Confidential, etc.  I live near the town of Catasauqua, which was the topic of one of these shows.  A woman kidnapped and murdered her ex-boyfriend's wife and infant son.  It was absolutely heartbreaking when it happened.  The victim's abandoned car was found in the parking lot of a bar I used to hang out in.  I simply can't imagine someone in my family being a victim or the perpetrator and I hope that I never have to go through it!

Almost the end of another year

Well time sure flies by when I'm not looking.  It's almost December, with only a month until Christmas.  My daughter's first semester of college will be over in about 3 weeks.

The good news is my boss bought a house in Delaware, which means he'll be moving but the business office will stay here.  The great news is that means he will be in the office less than he has been lately!  That might seen like boring news but to me it's a reason to celebrate!  Right now he is chewing his Nicorette gum like a cow and it makes me want to punch all his teeth out, grrrrr.

Wow that was kind of hostile, lol.  Today is "Black Friday" (for those who never heard this term, it's used to refer to the day after Thanksgiving which, in the US, is the biggest shopping day of the year - not sure if they use this term elsewhere in the world....).  All the nuts are off of work and at the malls shopping, this does not include me, lol!  I made the mistake of going shopping one year and almost got trampled by the crazies!  What some people won't do for a few dollars off, sheesh.  You can forget about traveling on any road anywhere near any shopping mall!!  So in a small sense, I'm glad to be stuck at the office....not really but I tried to make it sound legitimate, lol.

We had mucho turkey and all the trimmings yesterday.  I decided to start a diet/exercise program after Thanksgiving.  I picked this holiday because this is my big food holiday, so it was one last hurrah before I seriously get down to the business of getting in better physical shape.  I hope I can stick to eating better, that is my main problem.  Around here there is so much fast food it's just so convenient for lunch.  I'm actually more active over the winter than summer so excercise isn't non-exsistent but it sure could be more productive.  Here's to losing the unwanted pounds!

Vacation!

It's vacation time - we've booked a trip to St. Lucia.  A whole week of rest and relaxation!  A whole week with no boss or job, that's the best part :) and he is hellbent on bugging me until the last minute.  How can one human being be so incessantly annoying?

Here's to a safe trip and lots of sunshine!  No thanks to the zealots who have made the security check at the airport sure to be a long and tedious process, but all the better to arrive safely!

I'm in for a surprise

Things continue to improve, although slowly.  My husband is returning to his old self, thank goodness!  He actually wants to go away on vacation.  There was a time a few weeks ago that I thought I'd be going by myself.  However, the vacation destination will be a surprise for me.  Last year I chose Atlantis on Paradise Island.  This year, I'm allowing him to make the choice.  Unfortunately, as is his nature, it will be something booked at the last minute.  I don't actually mind, just as long we are going away somewhere!

Another sad note, I had another viewing last night.  An acquaintance passed away the beginning of this week from cancer.  It seems that death has decided to camp at my doorstep this year.  I wish I knew of a way to break this curse!  This man was an absolute treasure, why is it that the good ones always go young?  He was only 49.  It warmed my heart to see that, when I arrived, I had to wait almost 30 minutes to offer my condolences because the line of mourners was so numerous.  It was a true testament to what a special human being Mike was!
