Pomposity
In my job as a Certified Brain Care Specialist I treat people with injury-related brain traumas. I have to be aware of all types of maladies that a 'mis-tuned' brain may have. One of the problems is I do not know how to deal with is pomposity. I recently had a bit of a row on this website with a person in an old team of mine. He entered the fray at a difficult time, made some unpopular decisions rather capriciously and began to lose the core of his team. Several team mates, myself included, attempted to privately, make the situation better and to allow normal give and take conversation to return. I/we were met with nothing other than obstinance, lying and having our words turned against us. My question is: Why do people in a 'fun' environment, that has been cruising along just fine, have to impose their will on others without allowing their constructive criticism?
