August

Hello. It's been ages since I've written here. I'm trying to play more often, and I really want to finish off the two quiz drafts I still have, before I start some new ones.

It's not too long before the start of soccer (football) season in some countries, so I am looking forward to watching the games on TV. We've got a little longer to go before NHL hockey starts in the U.S. (and Canada).

I have a few audiobooks and regular books from the library, and it's been hard to find time to read during the week. I've been tied up with work. At least I can listen to the audios when I'm at the office. I don't know what I'll make the topic of my next quiz. There are a couple of new TV shows I like, so maybe one of those will do.

That's it for now. Thanks.  :)

April

Hello there. I haven't posted here in a while, sorry. Glad to be able to get back in touch.

I purchased a nifty little mp3 player, which I'm using solely for its recording capabilities. I love to record streaming audio. It comes with a line-in audio jack, and this makes it shut out noise, which is far better than the standard mp3 recorders that pick up all the hiss in the surrounding area.

I'm also looking forward to my annual summer reading sprint! I'm not going to run with a book in my hand :) -- I'm going to try to beat my all-time record for most books read during one length of summer. I don't have a long vacation coming up, I just always try to compete with the total of 36 books I once finished during a summer vacation from high school. It was during the time between junior and senior year. So every year, I count how many books I read from June through the first week of September, which was roughly the amount of vacation time I got in high school. This time I'm going to count audiobooks, if they are in the unabridged versions.

That's it for now. Thanks. See you later.

February 22 :)

Hi, everyone. Hard to believe it's already time for the beginning of Lent next week.

I went to church a little earlier than usual. I wasn't feeling too well. Can't seem to get rid of this cold that I've had for the past few weeks.

My quizzes continue to develop, albeit slowly. I'd like to finish at least one or two of them in the coming week.

This afternoon, I hope to pay a visit to the gym. The library isn't open today. Maybe tomorrow morning, I can stop by.

That's all for the moment. Thank you for putting up with me. See you later.  :)

January 26

Hello. It's the fourth week of January already. Everything seems to be going so quickly!  :)

I have a few quizzes I'd like to finish in the next week or two. I had a little spate of writer's block, but that seems to be clearing up. I've come up with a handful of new ideas, as well. That's in part thanks to the public library's new availability of digital downloads! With so many good audiobooks available for free checkout, I have lots of new ideas to mull over. Still haven't gone to the movies lately, but I'd like to do that soon.

Doctor's appointment tomorrow... yipes.  :)  See you later. Thanks.

Happy New Year!

Hello. It's 2009, and I didn't get to see the countdown on New Year's Eve because I had to work. Boo! I am enjoying my new digital camera, though, and I can't wait to get out there and take some more pictures.

They have a new channel on cable where I live. It's called MLB. It has baseball games, from the most recent World Series to classic games from the past. I think it's great. It's nice to be able to watch it whether it's in season or not.

I still haven't started two new PC games I got a few weeks ago. I don't know why I'm taking so long. I don't have to go to work until later, so maybe I'll get started on those.

Well, that's it for now. Thanks. See you soon.
