Perfection! Almost...
Last night in my bowling league I managed to finish the last game with my highest score ever 279. I struck in every shot except for the fifth frame when I threw it too fast leaving the 2 pin standing. It was kind of surprising since I didn't do so well in the first two games. I tied for high scratch game so I might win some money at the end of the league which is like a bonus for me. Maybe next time when I beat my high game there will be a ring involved.
Celebrity Apprentice 2 (US)
Well tonight is yet another 2 hour edition of "The Celebrity Apprentice". We were left with only a task half finished last week so it should be finished up today. You think they could finish a task in 2 hours but I guess not. I don't know if Trump is begging for more air time or NBC literally has nothing to show on Sunday night but these 2 hour episodes have to stop. If it was 2 hours of the boardroom it would be great but it's just endless filler it's a shame really "The Apprentice" was a great show. Too bad they can't go back to having people competing for a decent job instead of having C list celebrities desperate to get back in the lime light. It's still the only thing to watch after "The Amazing Race" though.
Super Bowl XLIII Pick
Well on the championship games 2 weeks ago I was 1-1 on the wins and 0-2 on the spread, ouch not the best picks for me oh well. After watching all of the media coverage of the pointless interviews with relatives of the players and even ball boys, no I'm not kidding about that, I learned that no one truly knew what is going to happen tomorrow.
I'll be honest, I was never on the Arizona bandwagon, I thought they would lose every week but they got momentum on their side something that can always be used to win it all no matter what the sport. Most ESPN analysts say they have Pittsburgh winning but they wouldn't be shocked if Arizona won, they're trying to look right no matter what happens in the game.
I was reading a non-sport magazine, Entertainment Weekly, and in their little blurb on what to watch Sunday 2/1/09, they say that the Steelers will easily win their sixth Super Bowl but why would I take sport advice from an entertainment magazine?
The spread for the game remained consistent at 7 in favor of Pittsburgh. And now for the pick I'll go with Arizona for the spread and Pittsburgh for the more important win. I'm expecting a close moderately low scoring game. 2009 NFL Point Spreads
Here are the current spreads for this weekend's AFC and NFC Championship games.
Philadelphia favored by 4 at Arizona
Pittsburgh favored by 6 vs Baltimore
The current spread for the Superbowl is 3 points in favor for the AFC team. I think the Steelers Ravens game will be much more closer then 6 points, I'd give the Ravens the spread but the Steelers the win. I was shocked when the Cardinals crushed the Panthers last Saturday but I don't think they can keep the streak up when the Eagles come to town. I don't think Carolina was expecting the Cardinals to be a legitimate threat due to their horrible East coast record. I think the Eagles will be prepared and take the game along with the spread. Big Brother 10 is open
"Big Brother" is here yet again in the U.S. for the tenth time. For the first time since "Big Brother 3", no one in the house is related in anyway, so there go all of my secret family theories. The show seems to have more interesting people then last time.
For one you have Jerry, the 75 year old Marine, he is the oldest person ever to participate in a reality show. The house voted for him to become Head of Household, a first for the show, probably because they don't see him as a threat. He hasn't really done much yet but I hope he does well.
There seems to be only one alliance for now consisting of the Catholic school teacher, the devout Christian, and the guy working in telecommunications, I forgot their names but I should remember everyone's by next week. It will be interesting to see how these three will play, will they play with integrity as their faith suggests or will they resort to what many players have done in the past, only time will tell.
The only annoying one in the house is Renny, the beauty salon owner from New Orleans. She kept waking everyone up on the first night because she couldn't figure out how to open the door. She has been nominated for eviction and hopefully the power of veto will not be used on her. But hey, sometimes the annoying players last far too long in this game but I hope I'm wrong in this case. |
