Calculus and trigonometry are both fundamental branches of mathematics, but they focus on different aspects and have different applications:

Calculus is primarily concerned with the study of change and motion. It deals with topics such as limits, derivatives, integrals and infinite series. Calculus is widely used in fields such as physics, engineering, economics, and computer science to model and analyse continuous change and to solve problems related to rates of change, optimisation, and areas and volumes.

Trigonometry is the study of the relationships between the angles and sides of triangles. It includes topics such as trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, etc.), trigonometric identities, and the solutions of triangles. Trigonometry is widely used in fields such as geometry, physics, engineering, navigation, astronomy and various other sciences to solve problems involving angles, distances and periodic phenomena.
