He moved on to comedic roles in "Silent Movie", "Blazing Saddles", "History of the World: Part I" and "Twelve Chairs". Some of his film roles were Inspector Clouseau in "The Pink Panther", Tom Baker in the "Cheaper by the Dozen" movies, Vincent Antonelli in "My Blue Heaven" and Lucky Day in "The Three Amigos".
