We are finally starting to separate from the musical chairs regime. There are still nine within five of first, though.
We had our worst showing at 44.6% this week, and that is reflected by our weekly winners at a paltry eight (barely 50% in itself!) LeoDaVinci didn't help his cause by going three, then posting late to boot. Our cellar dweller, tiggerjake, scored more than six players, and even with six others, even with default. I've come to find out this system works so much better too.  
What happened in Green Bay? Green Bay should have won, then Minnesota said nope, we'll hold you to a field goal (FG). Minnesota then said we'll take the W, but Green Bay said nope by holding Minnesota to a FG as well. This game marked the first tie under the new NFL OT rules...with both teams scoring. A safety or a touchdown in OT ends a game.
There are only five weeks to go in our comp before BxBarracuda takes us on to the Super Bowl.
Reminder again...next week's first three need to be in by 9am FT Thursday!!!
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his home team...he's 8-3 as they nailed a game winning FG as time expired.
Just a reminder: if you only pick one underdog, you are ineligible for bonus points, and I know exactly how many are picked.
Any inactive tippers who tip and are below 2nd last, their score will jump to 2nd last, however, if they are above 2nd last, they will not lose points to fall to 2nd last (or the lowest active tipper)

The top nine are a mere six points apart, even after 13 weeks. No one has made this a true runaway.
Toocool4u missed the first three, and fell to joint second. Since there were tips for both sides, I cannot give any "gimme" points this week.
Eight has been a bad, then good, then bad number.
Thanks to illiniman14's digging, we missed a long Spoonless streak, which breaks TWO records. Ozfei started tipping in the 2009 season, and she has yet to take a Spoon. If she finishes these next four weeks, that will be a five year Spoonless streak. She is at 81 weeks currently, smashing DanielPoulson's 72 week stint in FAPL.
Paper_aero did the unthinkable...he went with two underdogs this week!
Comp organizer's note: it is ridiculous to have these results tabulated with 7:07 left...in the THIRD QUARTER!!!
‡All Thursday tips had to be in by 9am, and the first three by PaulE were not. There has been ample warning, as the deadline was in red and a larger font, plus I posted after I made my Thursday picks, plus reposted upon waking up Thursday morning. Tips posted after the deadline for Thursday games do not count if they are late. If I make an exception here, I would have to for past comps.

Yes, you are reading this right...only two road teams won...KC (favored) and Miami (underdog)...Miami on a fluke final play. If only Brown had stayed in bounds...things would have been far different! That mere inch gave themonarch, Sypher, and Mustang a point for picking Miami.
All the nines are breathing sighs of relief after KrivoyRog took only eight.
There are only three weeks left, and no one is staying atop the leaderboard without someone else crashing the party. Paper_aero best not get comfortable in the penthouse...lol.
We'll see how the comp organizer does against his home team...he's 9-4 after getting shellacked at Soldier. Didn't he know Romo can't handle 8° days? The upside, he didn't throw an INT!!!

It's nice to have to tabulate well after the game has finished, unlike in a few prior weeks. Makes one have to "work" a bit lol.
Several games were no surprise, as six of the games had everyone but one or two pick correctly, but on the flipside, three games were picked by three or less. KrivoyRog happened to hit paydirt on all three! What did he know in St. Louis that no one else did?? Brees usually breezes through teams with sub-.500 records. We all had the stuffing knocked out of us by Philip Rivers and the Chargers...coming to Denver and beating Peyton? What?? No matter, Peyton will still retake the passing TD record that Tom Brady took from him. He has two weeks to throw four TDs to hit 51. Will he also knock Brees off the top spot for passing yards in a season? We will find that out in the next two weeks.
Baltimore did the unthinkable by winning on the road...without a TD at all! Justin Tucker kept his string intact, by hitting six for six, including one from 61. His makes only 14 hit from beyond 60.
Ozfei keeps plugging along, and is now at 83 straight. Way to go!!

Welcome cubswin2323 to the comp. Hopefully he will make a run from the start of the season next year.

If paper_aero doesn't remember...LeoDaVinci had a five point lead a few years ago. His lead is not safe, even with one week to go. Our podium isn't even in focus yet.

The 2013 NFL season has come to a close. Paper_aero has dethroned dg_dave from the top spot and taken his first NFL title.
N-Bomb nips dg_dave for silver on a countback, but dg_dave manages his 3rd consecutive podium appearance.
One other note of significance: nine of the sixteen games were picked by everyone or everyone bar one.
No, you are not misreading that...ten was the Wooden Spoon score this week!! How often do you hit paydirt on 62.5% of your tips and score a Spoon? Is that a record high for a Spoon in any comp? Actually, no, as there was a week in the NBA comp a few years ago that the Spooner scored 11.
Will ozfei be back to continue her Spoonless streak? We will find that out next September.
Dizart and paper_aero do not take bonuses as they only picked one underdog.
How did the comp organizer against his home team? Well, he went 12-4 just like last year, although Dallas made it a game until Orton pulled the "Romo" at the end.
I will hand off the baton to BxBarracuda to take us to the Super Bowl at the New Meadowlands.

Awesome way to end the comp, believe that is my first NFL podium finish. Congrats to paper aero for taking it out and to dave for a quickly posted comp.

Congrats to the Podium finishers. I can't believe I defaulted on the last week even if I had no chance of getting anywhere. I must have just dreamed I put my tips in.  See you all next year
