It is now Bar-B-Q weather here in Southern Cal..although we can do it all year long usually, but this is the best time.

How do you like your bar-b-qed food?

Do you like it with sauce?

Do you boil your meat before throwing it on the grill?

Do you have a special marinade that you like to use?

I love my food charred..Yep charred. Unless it is steak.

Something about charcoal I really like...I like to put my bar-b-q sauce on at the beginning and cook, cook, cook!

Up here it's bbq time when the weather lets you stay out without a snowsuit on, and the controls arent too stiff to turn.

I usually just throw what ever it is on the grill - fresh or still frozen. No boiling first - that's a nuisance and makes more clean-up! Sauce is good, applied late in the procedure. The only marinade I've used is one i dreamed up - soya sauce, lemon juice, onion and garlic powder. And a mixture of beer, melted butter and lemon juice for whole chickens on the spit - brushed on occaisionally.

Come on up, Sandalwood. We can have our own private Funtrivia gathering! There's lots of room on the grill to add more. Just don't come up in the next 2 weeks - I'll be away.

We bbq all year round in Montreal too. It's a joy to watch my Beloved welding his brush while it's snowing madly. I married him because he swore he was the bbq king. Throwing a steak on the grill and squirting store bought sauce wasn't what I had in mind.
I make my own sauces and marinades too but can't tell you what they are as we're considering selling them. Can tell you kiwifruit makes an excellent steak tenderizer. Yummy.

I like to BBQ all year round also. When I BBQ hamburgers I like to put a little butter and garlic salt on the buns and then put them on the grill and toast them a little bit. It's like garlic bread and it is oh so tasty. I also grill large slices of onions on the grill and then put it on the burger before I put the cheese on it. When the cheese melts, it keeps the onions in place and don't slide off your burger.

I also poke a hole through the middle so that the burger cooks all the way through.

Living in Australia (Queensland in particular)we BBQ all year round. I have my BBq just outside my kitchen door and use it everytime I need to cook meat. Last night we made a stir fry on it as well and that was really good. Also if you thinly slice potatos and chuck them on with some sort of seasoning, that taste really nice.

I think what I like most is that there is virtually no washing up
