What Tizzabelle said!

With that level of political sophistication, she'd be a shoo-in for the Miss World contest.

I agree it was pretty poor. Mal Maninga, a former Australian International Rugby League player lasted 27 minutes. Halfway through his first interview on radio, he said "I can't do this." and walked out. I think it would be a very difficult thing to do, run for government. You need to be across so many areas of policy and you need to be able to fob off questions which expose your weaknesses, which we all have. You have to lie convincingly about policies your party has that you don't believe in.

We all complain about how politicians act but I have seen them give honest answers and they have been flayed alive. All the same you do need to have a couple of brain cells and a portion of humanity if you are going to give it a go.

Good grief.

Locally I voted for a woman once who, at the hustings, was asked a question to which she didn't know the answer and she said so but promised that she would be reading up on that as a priority before the elections. Her honesty is what I appreciated, and she was good as a politician for quite some years.
