What a nice thought JoJo, I don't know anyone who has not been touched by this disease. It can be so draining on all family members, as well as the patient themselves.I myself, have lost: my mother,step-father,2 uncles,1 aunt,2 grandparents, and numerous friends to cancer. My real-father, and step-mother both have cancer now, but are in remission at this time.It can be a time of anger and frustration, but also a time of great love and laughter. My mother never lost her sense of humor, even though she was only 55 when she died. Some people argue that there is no humor in this, but believe me, at certain times it helps. We all need support at times, for a lot of various reasons, and this is a great place to 'vent' or to find out that no matter what our problems, there are others with similar or worse problems. I have noticed that no matter what problems we have, when we hear of others in need, we seem to want to help, and soon our problems don't seem to be as bad. gammab

As someone who is recovering from prostate cancer (I hope)I was glad to see your message. I have spent the last 6 months enduring radiation therapy and Funtrivia has been an excellent distraction from this misery.

Dearest gammab, I am so sorry to hear about your many losses due to cancer. My heart goes out to you dear lady. I agree with you completely about love and laughter. A positive attitude also helps those in pain and some people actually believe that it helps in addition to professional treatment in the process of recovery. Again, I am sorry for your losses but knowing you, I am sure you provided each one with the love in your heart and a grand sense of humor. If you ever want to make one of your loved ones laugh, please tell them what your grandkids told you to be a Holloween. Remember they told you to take out your false teeth and go as a gummi bear. I still laugh when I think about that. I hope I made you giggle just a bit to help ease your pain.

Ritch, I am so sorry to hear that you have had to go through such a tramatic period in your life. I am glad to hear that you are a survivor and I wish you all the very best in a complete recovery. I am happy to know that FunTrivia has provided you with entertainment and fun during your time of need. That is probably one of the best compliments about FunTriva that I have ever read.

I send you both love, light, and laughter and my warmest thoughts are with you.

Chances are that a relative or a friend of each of us has had or will at some time have cancer. It is becoming epidemic. That is why I felt so passionate about starting a cancer support group. I am thankful to each of you for sharing your thoughts and feelings and may we all find comfort in each other.

Love,
Jo
