I often find myself with writer's block whenever I do a written assignment for English class. My writer's block does not go away from a range of 10 minutes to a whole day. This has become quite a problem. Also I have to type up a big written assignment that is due on Wednesday but I have to practice for our English play every day until Wednesday. Please can anyone sugguest good tips to help me get rid of this problem? [Confused]

Do you just have to TYPE this assignment by Wednesday, or do you have to compose it, too!???

Sounds like you just have to make real economical use of your time! It IS a long weekend here in Canada! Just set the time aside! Practice for the play will be scheduled, right? So you know what that commitment is. I think there's plenty of time to type up your English, too. Even compose it!

Sometimes, if you have a block, the best thing to do is put it out of your mind completely for awhile, rather than fuss and fume and try to bring something forward! That just causes anxiety. Usually you will find, when a thought is just simmering on the back burner, that something someone says, or something on TV or the radio will bring a new slant or idea to you, which you can build on to finish your work!

You're young...lotsa time! Don't fret...somehow it all gets done!

Just wait til you have to run a household and work and do all this sort of stuff, too! [Eek!]
