A brilliant scorer, rebounder and shotblocker at the high school level in Columbia, South Carolina, Jermaine O'Neal passed up college and jumped directly to the NBA. Drafted on the first round in 1996 by the Portland Trail Blazers, he became the youngest player in NBA history when he made his league debut against the Denver Nuggets on Dec. 5, 1996 at the age of 18 years, 1 month and 22 days.
