No PD, not Donnie Moore.

Sadly, Donnie Moore was the Angels
pitcher who gave up the home run to
Dave Henderson in the American League playoffs. As it was the Angels first shot at a World Series appearance and Henderson took away an almost sure-fire
win for the Angels, the much troubled
Donnie Moore committed suicide.

Ty Cobb.

Although Cobb boasted of killing a man, this was looked into and nothing was ever found. The event in question took place in 1900.

In 1909, Bill Bergen set an all-time
record by hitting only .139 for the entire season (346 at-bats!)
Unfortunately, his brother, Marty
went 4 for 4 one day in 1900 by
axing his wife and two children to death then taking his own life ! This capped off a reasonably unsuccessful 4 year Major League career....
