In the history of the Football League only one team has been crowned champions of five divisions. Who is it?

next best is winning the title in four divisions
* Blackburn Rovers - 1995 FA Premier League, 1912 & 1914 Division 1, 1939 Division 2, 1975 Division 3
* Grimsby Town - 1901 & 1934 Division 2, 1980 Division 3, 1926 & 1956 Division 3N, 1972 Division 4
there may be more but these two are the only ones I've found

Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Div 1 1953-54,1957-58,1958-59
Div 2 1931-32,1976-77
Div 3 1988-89
Div 4 1987-88
Div 3n 1923-24.

Preston North End and Burnley have both won four seperate divisions each but both teams won the 3rd division both before and after the Premier League was formed, when, what was the old 4th division became the 3rd division.
This makes it look like they won the 3rd division since 1992 when it was in fact the old 4th division.
I hope you follow that 'cos I'm struggling to and I wrote it.

Paul, your post doesn't show up so I had to read it by scrolling down to the bottom of the reply to screen

yep Wolves is spot on mate! that's what I've got at this end.

it's almost 2:30 in the morning here and I've re-read the bit about Burnley and PNE three times, and I think I now know what you're saying. They're two more teams that've won four titles, which can be added to BRov and Grimsby Town making a total of four teams who've won four titles.
p.s. I still haven't recovered from the Elland Road debacle on Sunday. Watched the whole match live even tho I told myself not to ... at half time came in here to the pc and got onto FT (again) and was late getting back, so I missed Cole's goal, thankfully.
