Since the commencement of the Football League in season 1888-89 the winners of the FA Cup have always been a member of the league, except once. In which year did a non-league club win the FA Cup?

Tottenham Hotspur won the FA Cup in 1901 but weren't admitted to the Football League until the 1908-1909 season. They beat Sheffield United 3-1 in the Final.
