How much money did Jim Thorpe make per game playing semi-pro baseball, which precipitated the International Olympic Committee (IOC) taking away his 1912 gold medals for the decathlon and pentathlon?

During the summers of 1909 and 1910, Thorpe was paid - reports have him earning from $2 a game to $35 a week - for playing for Rocky Mountain in Fayetteville in the Class D Eastern Carolina League. He naively used his real name, unlike other collegians who adopted pseudonyms to foil amateur rules.

Close enough GT, $25 a game. On what grounds were Thorpe's children able to get the IOC to change its mind, do you ask? According to IOC rules, charges of professionalism (Thorpe's "offense") must be lodged within 30 days of the games. Since that wasn't followed, Thorpe's children were given replicas of his original medals in a 1983 ceremony.
