Here you can talk about anything baseball related.(trades, playoffs, injuries, and of course trivia.)
To start it off, what do you think of the Curt Schilling trade? And does anyone have any Curt Schilling trivia?

At the news conference, amid a background of Phillies banners, Curt Schilling could hardly contain his glee !
This has to be a tremendous lift for the D-Backs... A 1-2 punch of Johnson-Schilling ! I believe it will propel them into the World Series......
I'm really not familiar with the young pitchers the Phillies obtained, but in the short run, this is just what Arizona needed.

I agree with everything you say reedman, but I don't think they will win the World Series. I think who ever wins the A.L. East is going to win it all.

Also, does anyone know what day and year Schilling was traded from the Astros to the Phillies?

Good job gtho4.

Does anyone know who managed the Houston Astros in 1965?

Does anyone know what baseball great once said "I had some friends here from North Carolina who'd never seen a homer, so I gave them a couple."?

That sounds like something the late, great and humble Catfish Hunter might have said...of course he would have been alluding to the fact that, as a pitcher, he had given up homers rather than hit them !

That's right reedman, it was Catfish Hunter. These must be to easy. How about this: After Ted Williams examined every single hitter in major league history, what number did he rank Joe Dimaggio?

Does anyone know what baseball league was started in 1960 to rival Major League Baseball?

In 1960, yet another rival league appeared. Although a handful of teams had moved, most of them were concentrated in the
northeast. Large cities in the south and west wanted teams of their own. The Continental League sought to win in court before
they had a chance to go bankrupt on the field. Faced with the possibility of losing their monopoly, major league owners
reached a compromise. They would agree to expand, growing from 16 teams to 24 by the end of the decade.

Carroll Hardy was a player who's career was of no major significance, except for one small and important fact, what was it?

You got it reedman, now does anyone know what former MLB player was crushed to death by a satellite dish, which he was adjusting on the roof of his house?

On November 23rd 1990, Major-league catcher Bo Diaz was crushed to death when his satellite dish fell on him...
He was 37 years old.

To Scoob,
Yes. According to the site I listed, Rockford won 4.
This is a fairly reliable site so I give it some validity.

To reedman, that's right. To Leprechaun, when I said my first answer I got it from the same site as you, but I looked at the info backwards. To everyone, Who had the fewest assists in a season that they played in at least 150 games? Bonus for what year.
Here is a clue:
