I went on a scrapbooking camp recently and one of the ladies there taught us to make these cute little folders. This photo shows the outside of the folders. On the inside, there are pockets which will hold a few handmade cards. When closed, it ties up with a ribbon. Makes a nice gift. Will show the inside in a follow-up photo.

This shows the inside of the folder with two pockets. It's not very obvious but the pockets have sides about 1/4 inch (about 6 mm) high, which doesn't sound much but you can comfortably fit at least 3 cards with envelopes in each pocket (but it does depend on the bulk of the finished card).

Well, I have never been crafty or creative, but each time work was going to furlough people I said I would learn to knit, but ended up working during the furloughs so it never happened. Well with COVID, I ordered a 'learn to knit' kit and now have a ton of yarn that I'm slowly going through... Made a couple baby hats for people and I'm making fingerless gloves for people at the office (since our hands are freezing in the winter). As long as there's a pattern to follow, I'm good!

I've been working on a cowl with some unforgiving yarn, so every other day I have been working on something else. Yesterday I finally made my daughter the fingerless gloves she asked for - used some really soft acrylic I have and made the pattern 8 rows shorter after the thumb portion. This is the first thing I learned to knit back in early April.

I love that yarn! The colors are beautiful.

I have to admit, I really dislike stockinette stitch. It looks pretty, but I have the worst time with purling, so I'll almost exclusively crochet anymore. Anyone who has the patience to work entire projects in stockinette, my hat's off to you.

Well, I found that the website I got the learn to crochet box from which went out of business won't have the videos to learn to crochet after August 20... So I guess when I'm done with this scarf I'm learning to crochet quick so I can have the videos that match the patterns...

I actually like purling, it feels easier to me. But I'm a lefty and knit righty so maybe that has something to do with it.

This one gave me a LOT of trouble. It came in a Darn Good Yarn box which said to make it as a tube and then knit the ends together to make a cowl. But the yarn had zero give, so I turned it into a scarf instead.
