Yay for a new thread  Well after my "weigh in" on New Years eve, I promised myself I was jumping on the "diet wagon" as soon as possible - which to me, meant January first  Over the last seven days, I've had four "good" days with no treats and three days with treats. Today I weigh Nine stone twelve and three quarter pounds , a loss of two pounds which suits me fine  The "goodies" are now stored in the shed, being gradually brought into the house. I also find it helps when I keep a food diary, recording what I've eaten. Good luck to all those trying to lose weight this year - it's worth the effort in the end  xxx

Down ½ this week to 12 st 8½ pounds. As long as I stay in the range of 12 st 8 pounds to 12 st 12 pounds, I am fine with that.

A little annoying, since I only lost half a pound this week, making me Nine stone, twelve and a half pounds. But never mind, onwards and upwards, hopefully a bigger loss next week

Went up ½ pound this week, so am at 12 st 9 pounds. I've stayed in a 3½ pound range since September 1, which suits me fine.

I haven't check in here in a while, but I'm now down to 162 lbs, which is 44 lbs lost since I started 10 months ago. I was holding steady at 168 for a long time, but since I've been back at school for Spring Semester I've been walking a lot more and taking the stairs instead of the elevator whenever possible, so I've lost 6 lbs in the past 2 weeks!

Congratulations, kaddarsgirl! Now what are you going to do to maintain? Thanks.  I might actually end up losing more. When the weather gets warmer I'll have a really nice walk to campus every day (it's a mile round-trip), so if I keep eating proper portion sizes and good foods, in combination with the walking, I should keep in good shape.

Thanks.  I might actually end up losing more. That sounds like an excellent plan. Are there any walking/biking paths near you that you could use as well? Your body will reach whatever weight it's happiest at, then you'll fluctuate a little up and down by a few pounds. If you continue doing what you're doing, you should be able to maintain with no problems.

Your body will reach whatever weight it's happiest at, then you'll fluctuate a little up and down by a few pounds. That is exactly what I have done for the last five months. Way to go on reaching your goal!

Are there any walking/biking paths near you that you could use as well? There's a huge park right across the street from my apartment. It's not safe to walk through alone (a lot of theft and drugs, and there have been a few rapes), but if I can get someone to go with me, there are a lot of nice paths through the woods. Way to go on reaching your goal! Thanks!

Didn't change anything this past week, but fell three to 12 st 6 pounds.

I last weighed in at 202 pounds. I'm 5'9". I started drinking water about a week ago. I still have a soda at lunch and dinner. I'm eating some fruits.. which is very new to me and I still don't have the discipline down on that. I eat a high protein diet. Turkey and cheese sandwiches, chicken, pizza, beef, chicken fajitas, milk, macaroni and cheese.
