Anderson received the Man of the Match award for his batting exploits and Alastair Cook took a wicket. What a strange match, which was ruined by a pitch giving no help at all to the genuine bowlers (on either side).

It's worth mentioning that South Africa battled out an extremely hard-fought draw against Sri Lanka in Colombo yesterday, winning the Test series 1-0 in the process.
The win has put them back where (we) belong, No. 1 in the world. Sorry Aussies....
By the way, thanks for the thread wwe, I enjoy the updates.

Question: if India is behind after they lose all their wickets, will they bat first in the second innings or will England still bat first?

If India's deficit on the first innings is 200 or more (i.e. if they are all out for 369 or less), then the England captain can require them to bat agin immediately. If England finish with more runs in their one innings than India make in two, England will have won "by an innings."
In practice, however, captains rarely "enforce the follow-on" nowadays: they prefer to give their fielders and bowlers a bit of a rest, especially in hot weather like we're having in the south of England at present. So England will probably bat first in the second innings.
