We have been very mild here Chavs. Only about three mornings all winter with any frost. Hawthorn blossom is starting to be quite profuse now as well.

A view of the start (or end if you come the from the other direction) of the Otipua wetlands at the southern boundary of Timaru. Saltwater Creek does not quite make it to the Pacific Ocean at this spot. The Hunter Hills in the background and the approach of a cold front not that it brought any rain to Timaru unfortunately, it has been a very dry summer.

It was just like spring yesterday, I hardly needed the heater in the car. This is looking across the Thames from Woolwich. I would have used the toilet but would have had to pay to park the car. I only stopped here for a moment to take the picture and carried on.

A tower block next to the previous shot, it looks like someone's gone up it with a spray can but those are blue tiles.

Lake Rotorua once again, it is amazing how often a sea gull manages to get itself into a photo.....

That does not look as if it ever flooded, David? It's lovely.
February flew, and ends today, so a new thread for March is about to happen. Thanks all for the lovely pics this month.

Not today, ren. Still nearly 30 hours left in February hereabouts smile

We had a nice sunny day last weekend for the annual "Soup Day" in downtown Belleville, with horse drawn wagon rides thrown in for the kiddies (and adults too). It was very cold, though, so the soups went down well.

Last snowy one for February from me. I'm hoping in March I'll be able to post some flowers or grass!

This is the snow mountain over which I have to climb to get to my nearest supermarket. The snow is what has been ploughed off their parking lot. The path near the fence has been made by intrepid shoppers like myself smile Today the descent on the other side was very steep, so coming home laden down with bags of shopping I chose to walk the long way around, as the step up would have been more than my short legs could accomplish without using my hands.

We didn't get any floods north of the river, it started on the London edge of Surrey but nothing over this side.
