Again, some tough games saw a wide range of scores. The Sharks are going through all sorts of internal trauma, culminating in the sacking of their star recruit and the resignation of their coach. They are also under a major cloud for supplement use, but that did not stop them from beating Brisbane, in Queensland! Another Queensland team gave us another upset, with Nth Queensland toppling heavyweights, South Sydney. Cellar-dwellers, Newcastle, beat up-and-comers, Parramatta.
BxBarracuda somehow managed to get five out of seven right and closes the gap on the leader, illiniman14. George95 also narrowed the gap between himself and the podium. ozzz2002 had a shocker, only getting 1/7.

There were only five games this round, and a better chance of picking up a bonus point, however, some weird results scotched that plan. Cronulla scored 30 points in the second half, to run down the Roosters (who should be called the Feather Dusters after that performance!). The Gold Coast came to town and knocked off the Bunnies. Davjack somehow picked that one, and earned his first HoF.
Four players only got a pathetic 1/5 and almost everyone else scored a measly 2/5.

Sypher picked up a perfect score and jumped over several tipsters. However, he still has a long way to go to catch the runaway leader, illiniman14, who increased his lead to SIX.
BxBarracuda has back-to-back spoons and now has to share second spot. George95 also scored 3/6 and is looking over his shoulder.
The Warriors had a big win over Parramatta, Canterbury beat Melbourne is a very low scoring affair. Canberra surprised Gold Coast, Cronulla were leading 18-0 at the break, but stopped playing in the second half, and Penrith scored a field goal with less than a minute to go.

Second-placed N-Bomb is a further four ahead of Howie72 and the other HoFer, BxBarracuda. There is a pack snapping at the heels of that pair, so I suspect that most of the interest will be in the bronze position.

George95 swooped out of the clouds and jumped from ninth to fourth, by tipping the whole lot. Davjack also had a perfect round and jumped from eleventh to, um, eleventh.
wwe84 scored 5/8 and picked up a spoon. He is still in fourth, along with a few others, but the bridge to third may be too hard to cross. We shall see, as there is only one week to go.

As expected, illiniman14 romped home, winning by four points over N-Bomb. There was a huge gap- seven points- between second and third. The bronze was taken by the fast-finishing George95. In Round 24, he was third last, and a rank outsider, but he only missed one result in two weeks and pipped Howie72 on countback.
The rest of us had our chances, with more than half the field (6/11) having a share of the lead at some stage, but we all dropped off over the season. This round had some wildly diverse scores, ranging from 7/8 down to 1/8, and all points in between.
The finals start this weekend, and hopefully the Sydney Roosters can repeat their success of last year!.
