We return to the Super XV comp after a 3 week break and not much has changed....tentative picks and average scores sees us maintain status quo on most of the standings.
The NSW Waratahs are now top of the ladder, while the Auckland Blues won on the road for the first time this season!
illiniman14 and Sypher picked the HoFs here, while paper and N-Bomb took the spoons.

The New South Wales Waratahs ensured top spot on the ladder and a home semi-final, with a smashing win over the Highlanders. The Natal Sharks, the only South African team that will be in play-offs this year did their confidence no good by slumping to a second consecutive loss as all seven home teams won this round!
George95 jumped to the top of the standings here and ensured himself a medal with a round remaining, but the other 2 podium spots are still open with at least 5 of us in with a chance to make it....who will complete the podium?
We will know in a week's time...

It turned out to be an intriguing final week in this year's Super XV rugby. Most playoff spots were already decided but the placings were not and one or two teams could still make a difference. The Defending Champions Waikato Chiefs managed to make it to the playoffs with a tense win at Auckland Blues, making it 3 Kiwi teams in the top 6. The teams making the playoffs include:
1. NSW Waratahs
2. Canterbury Crusaders
3. Natal Sharks
4. ACT Brumbies
5. Waikato Chiefs
6. Otago Highlanders
George95 wins his maiden Super XV title in our comp with a consistent performance all through the season. He finished with 6 HoFs (1/3rd of the season) and only 3 spoons.
That was the same HoF-spoon count that helped paper_aero take home the silver medal this year, ahead of BxBarracuda. BxB was all over the place, with 7 HoFs and an equal number of spoons. He also won 5 bonus points, the most this season (1/5th of the total!) With Spoons in the final two rounds, BxB let slip his title chances and is probably lucky to have sneaked in the bronze as well 
Davjack was absent for half the season, while N-Bomb and illiniman missed one round each. Don't know about Davjack, but the missing rounds probably cost the other two, as they narrowly finished out of the podium spots
Ozzz2002 left it real late, but he finally ended the season with a HoF, which means other than the erratic Davjack, everybody has a number in all columns of the table this year and we don't carry forward any streaks or records to the next season (phew )
Thanks for continuing to patronize the competition even though the host still does not know A from B in this sport...until next year then, with congratulations to George95, paper_aero and BxBarracuda once again....

...even though the host still does not know A from B in this sport. I would imagine that a few of the participants are in the same boat. Nicely run comp, Srini, and well done to George, Paper and the Barracuda.
