Gnomeville is fascinating, MG! Looks like something straight out of an Enid Blyton book.

Part of the Twelve Apostles (or the Sow and Piglets, if you prefer the earlier 'not-as-attractive' name) at the Great Ocean Drive, Victoria.

Those are not ducks, they are Canadian geese. LOL

Canada Geese, @wiki "...often incorrectly referred to as the "Canadian Goose"."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_Goose

So populous in some areas, they are considered a pest and health hazard.
Is that guy on the bench feeding the seagull?

Oops. They looked smaller at the time but most ducks are different colours in pairs which did make me wonder. I normally spot the difference as we have plenty of both on the reservoir opposite.

Here's the pub next to it, they didn't go there for a drink though.

That's interesting, my mother has painted a boat almost identical to that, I'll show here later in the week.

Carole's gnomes reminded me of a holiday in Cornwall many years ago, there is a gnome reserve there too. Great fun.

Howie, your kitties are gorgeous. Precious said I should say "Meow!" to them smile

I haven't posted much recently as I've been waiting for the snow to go away... Maybe next month?

Anyway, here's an indoor shot of a glass head wearing a nice warm cap, in my favourite vintage clothing and antiques/ephemera store here in Belleville. I pop in to chat and take photos at least once a week, sometimes I even buy something smile

No, they're not snowdrops. The lady who was walking with us said she thinks they are some sort of windflower or wood anemone.

I think wood anemone aka windflower aka thimbleweed is exactly what they are - Anemone nemorosa to be more precise. This is a very good year for spring flowers in England, must be all that rain!

I think it must be flopsy, plus of course winter has been so mild. We noticed loads of bluebells just starting to develop buds, so must go back there when they are out, there is actually a bluebell walk through the woods.

No ruffled feathers for this red-billed seagull enjoying an autumn day in Timaru.

I thought this looked familiar at the time and found I'd taken the same picture last time I passed it. Home Wood, Cuffley
