Yes, Chris, these are poisonous! The snake was about 5 m away (16 ft) but I was on a raised boardwalk so felt quite safe. And the snake was not paying me or the other viewers any attention.

C is also for China. Here's my version of a photo that probably most visitors in Beijing take. It's looking across Tianenmen Square towards the entrance to the Forbidden City. The air was pretty good this day - I've got many other photos where there is a brown cast to everything (created by particles in the air). Surely not healthy in the long run. But if you ever get the chance to go, do so. It's fascinating and remarkably easy to get around. I was fortunate that this was a work trip and we had a sight-seeing day in the middle.

There should be one a week in the weekly theme thread, Mike. Leave it this time, but please remember. Thanks.
Photo a day means Photo a day. All other threads are one a week Thanks.

If you consider a week as Sunday to Saturday, Mike's first picture was last week, and second is this week...or am I not figuring right?

Thursday to Sunday is not waiting a week between postings. That measures as 3 days. I've never heard the Sunday to Saturday limitations for a week. So, A post Saturday could be followed the next day, Sunday, with a successive post? I only ask in the spirit of clarity, not to be judgmental.

Exactly. That is why I am requesting a new name for us. Overall we will I hope be called Our Photos. Then there will be a thread called Photo a Day and others called The Monthly Theme, Picture book etc. I have asked admin to do this so watch this space.

Right Thanks to our dear smilee George, I am praying this is now clear enough for ALL.
The name of the forum is Our Photos.
The name of the Photo a day thread is Photo a Day. (this month it is subtitled Time Marches on (geddit?)
The name of the Monthly Themed thread changes every month. This month the theme is Letter"C" (C is for click)
ALL other threads should be entered with one photo per week only.(You can put one in on Friday this week and on Monday the following week, but only one per week OK?? )
Then I recently started My Favourite place and that is one only ever per person. OK??
Please let me know if you are still not clear and I will resign or jump off the HSBC Bank Building. crazy

Seems fairly clear (even to a dummie like me lol)and thank you for stating that it's okay to post one Friday and then the following Monday as well (means you don't have to wait 7 consecutive days). But, as asked by someone earlier, do you consider Sunday to be the start of a new week, or Monday? And does the Sunday/Monday apply to the USER time zone, or yours? lol

Personally, it doesn't matter to me, since I haven't posted many pics of late and so am unlikely to get a whipping lol, but that's the only clarification that seems to be missing from the above.
