Those little roads are away from the main roads but you still get a few cars passing as you go along, but not usually many. This was the view across the downs to the south there.

That's lovely Chavs. I love apple blossom - it is, like everything else, early this year.

And more abundant, I think. I love it too. There's something pure about it. I'm not dissing the cherry trees, mind!

Not sure when we last had a white-faced heron but here is one walking on a log last Sunday.

We get herons round here, but I've never managed to get a photo of one. Ours have a yellow bit on their face. Whenever I see one on the ground it always surprises me how big they actually are.

I agree. Cherry blossom is so exuberant though. If they were dancers cherry blossom would be the can can dancer throwing up her skirts and apple blossom would be the ballerina, drifting around effortlessly on point.

I have the sweetest little wren's nest in one of my sheds - means I can't use the extension lead, but I've got others!

Frankfurt Cathedral (Kaiserdom Sankt Bartholomäus), a Roman Catholic Gothic church dedicated to St Bartholomew and built in the 14th & 15th centuries on the foundations of an earlier church.

How lovely to have a wren in the shed. I can't believe how much moss that tiny bird collected, like having your own warbling garden vac. smile

It's amazing what you can find in gardens if you look - I came home today and found a man in my neighbour's hedge:
