Precious and 'The Princess' are real stars!

Here's the sun going down behind the hills around Gough's Bay, Lake Eildon in central Victoria.

Another photo from my trip to the Isle Of Wight. This was taken at Alum Bay and clearly shows
the layers of different coloUred rocks for which it is known. Visitors can buy packets of the
various coloUred sands which are dug from the rocks to make their own unique souvenirs or
buy them ready-made at the gift shops at the entrance to the place.

The contrast between New Zealand and London is pretty striking!

A view across Merton from Wimbledon

I've always been fascinated by the utility services around the suburbs, and always take the electricity transformers whenever I pass one with the camera.

You could almost live in one of these.

There are 2 ways to get to the beach at Alum Bay - a ski
resort-type chair lift or via this set of steps:

In the interests of fitness, I took the steps down & back up and
was amazed to get back up in one go - no stopping for a rest or
photos - and wasn't even out of breath at the top. Well I was
impressed anyway!

I have to say I'm impressed with that as well Martin. Not only do they look very steep, they don't actually look that safe either.

One of the many paths I discovered yesterday in Mill Hill. I didn't know they had steps at Alum Bay, we took the cable car the one time I went there.

The steps are quite sturdy and I would Imagine they keep them in a good state of repair.
Here's a long view of them:

This is the other way to get to the beach at Alum Bay - the chair lift. Looks like fun but I was
happy to walk down. Might have got some good photos from it though, maybe next time...

Another trip during my Isle of Wight holiday was to the village of Godshill.
Quaint thatched cottages abound!
