Remarkable writer, remarkable man. Not always right, by any means, but always interesting and provocative.

Wonderful writer, dedicated environmentalist, and teller of great stories. His "The Regiment" tells the story of the 'Hasty Peas', the Prince Edward and Hastings Regiment, of which he was a member. My uncle was also a member of the regiment.

He will be missed.

I have an old paperback copy of "Whale For The Killing" that I'm reading now. And I've seen that "Never Cry Wolf" movie some time back. Mowat was truly one of a kind.
