spanishliz - I've seen something similar to that here only it was called "Dock Dogs". I think I've got a couple of photos somewhere, I'll try and find them.

That name makes sense, as they refer to the platform they jump from as a dock. You can see a bit of it here. (I took a lot of photos smile )

Found one which shows how big the pool is. They don't put anything in the water to make it that blue, it's a blue liner to the pool itself.

The hotel on the left corner has changed its name since I used to walk down there, it used to be something like Coleburg back in the late 60s or early 70s. I used to stay in hotels in the Bayswater area when attending courses in Greenford, we used to be taken out there by coach each day.

Took this while flying over the Front Range of the Rocky Mts. in Colorado on June 4. Not much had changed when we flew back today. They're still waiting for summer.

I forgot to ask about the samples....

This is part of the coastal walkway in Timaru, looking south to Patiti Point with South beach and the Pacific Ocean. The walkway/cycle track is going to be extended a little further south to Jacks Point (see a future photo...lol). Takes me long enough to walk from home to the Otipua Wetlands (past Patiti Point) and back without going further south...lol

U.S. Route 6 is the longest contiguous highway in the United States. It goes from Provincetown, Massachusetts to Bishop, California. It's 3,205 mi./5,158 km. in length. Many of the 12 states it passes through have special historic signs for it. Here it passes through Grinnell, Iowa and they want to be doubly sure you don't miss it. It even goes through the town on 6th Avenue.

I finally got to the open garden in Muswell Hill, featured on TV, as it was open on a day I could get there.

It started as a small garden in a row behind a terrace of 1960s houses, and managed to buy all the empty land behind it to include a workshop and greenhouse.

Thank you, Ren. smile There are a lot of fantastic photos around here. I love the threads here, the variety that means you can go from gold mines to bees to shark cages. Always a treat.

Christina, yes..well, I think it is a Johnson's Blue Geranium, it's a blue geranium anyway. I love it either way. We have plenty of bees too. People keep saying they are scarce but not so I'd notice, we are bee-loud here.

Same here, we have loads of bees, and a lot of butterflies this year as well, I think the mild winter must have been good for them.

You'll have to excuse the grass looking a bit unkempt in this photo, it was just too hot to bother getting the mower out. Garden is starting to look good for early in the season though.

I won't say where this is yet as I think someone here may recognise it.
