Precious would be upset with me if I posted a picture of some other creature before one of her. Her she is this afternoon in her favourite corner of the flower bed.

I should think so too. She amazes me at her photogenicness(?)

I just discovered I posted the photo a day here, I'll leave this open and put something related in when I find it. There you go. The cat in the house behind me. It's one floor up but still quite a way to climb.

I was sitting watching the birds this morning waiting for a good photo opportunity when this landed beside me. I think it must be a day flying moth

I'm loving all of these.

Here are some creatures sunbathing on a rock, spotted yesterday afternoon.

Went shark diving (in a cage) this weekend.

This was one of the small ones!

I usually find these beetles on my lilies, this one decided it preferred the Sweet Williams.

I think these are all fabulous. Difficult to follow a shark!

These two horses are police horses, we have a mounted patrol in the area for a couple of weeks, then they will move on to some other lucky place. I wish all police had to ride on horseback, it is a beautiful sight and these are two particularly gorgeous specimens. In this photo, one is foaming a little at the mouth, although it looks more like he has just been eating ice cream, but doesn't the other look like he's laughing at his friend? Em, you have something on the side of your mouth, bud...

They're gorgeous. We do still have a small mounted unit in Essex, but many forces have done away with the mounted units as an economy measure. Shame really as I think they do a great PR job for the Police when they are out and about.

Beautiful horses!

This is Winston, who lives at a local garden centre and just loves it when people stop to talk to him and take his photo.

Quogequox, you're a braver person than I am, even in a cage I don't think I'd be game to dive with sharks!

Love all the photos, but martin cube's bee is particularly striking!

Maynooth and I went for a drive in the country recently and stopped at a restaurant for lunch. These little fellows were located next door to the restaurant.

Two young foxes playing in my back garden last night. Not the best quality sorry, but a snatch shot at dusk through the kitchen window

Thanks, we had some lovely creatures, (well Martin's fly picture is a bit gross).
I will close up this thread soon and start a new one .
