Great job, I have always said this is a family here and this is what a family would do.

I have just returned from the memorial service for Dave. I was able to speak on the behalf of FT conveying the message of how well he was liked and how much he meant to all of us. I used the postings from this thread to let them know how we felt and that there were people all of the world who were deeply affected by his presence. I also read the chain that was created in Dave's memory. The messages were well received and many came up to me later and expressed how much they appreciated hearing from all of you. Those attending were mostly from his immediate family and classmates who he graduated from high school with.

Thanks for going and thanks for the description. It was great of you to go and wonderful to know we were so simpathetically represented.

oops you are right It is the fault of the nude postmen who start the week on a Monday.

Gunslinger passed away before I got to know him on here. After reading his tribute and seeing what everybody had to say about him, I feel like I really missed out on a great guy. It makes me sad to know that new people coming to FT won't have the privilege of now knowing Dave and reading his fantastic posts. I miss him.

I just discovered this posting now. So far after the fact. I haven't played the chain games in a couple of years, and I'm sad I didn't and that Gatsby passed on without my knowing or acknowledging it. He was a truly wonderful, giving soul.

I just saw this thread and I'm devastated to learn of Gatsby's passing. He was always such a wonderful man, very sweet and very kind. He is missed.
