Nicest, most prolific, kindest and smartest poster on the chain games

(Sorry to be getting to this tribute so late, but I only just learned of Gatsby's passing now).

Great idea!

Established rules and formats in the Chain Games, making them what they are today

'Nuther year gone by,
... but that Gatsby-shaped piece of Fun trivia is still with us.

This time of the year, mid June-Mid July is "Gatsby time", with his anniversary a few weeks ago and his birthday in a few weeks time. I still half-expect to see him chaining along good-oh some days when I check in, or hotly debating some topic about which he is passionate.

So nice of you to post a remembrance! Some of our slower-moving chains still have his posts inside, but of course that's going down with time.

Some folks might not realize that Gatsby invented many of the games in Chain Games. Some games like "Scrambles" and "Shuffle the Last Three" were invented completely from scratch. He also created a masterful re-working of the game Scattergories to fit the chain games model. (I was super impressed with that one.) His creative contributions and his love for this little forum can't be overstated.

I see him as the founding father of a (very) small nation. And if we were a small nation, we'd have erected a statue already.

RIP, Gatsby
