The first football club in Scotland in 35 years to go to the wall, Airdrieonians ceased to exist last week. I was never too enamoured with their supporters I must say, but I feel genuinely sorry for them now. Football in general needs a colossal boot up the a*se.

B ridie.......I, like yer good self, feel that the game is too money-orientated now.

What do we do?

Airdrie.........gone to the wall. Just like Lincoln City in England Furry........(and a couple of others)

ITV Digital.......I truly think they're not the only guilty party! Contracts have been broken willy-nilly, for the past 20 years.(mainly by players!)

I guess it's what you call 'progress'? and I, for one, am flippin' sick of it!!!!!

Let's all get back to 'jumpers for goalposts' eh?

(Incidentally............SFA.........where the (ahem) blinkin' flip have you been for the past couple of months?????????????) No doubt, looking forward to Japorea 2002? whoops, sorry mate! [Big Grin]
ENGER-LAND...........etc....... [Wink] [Wink] [Wink]

Used to coach and manage a schoolboys' football team. Usually our scores were more like those in a rugby match! All those kids ever wanted to do was to play for a home team. What chance have they got? I know that U. K. players play abroad but I think we should do more to encourage the Home-Grown product. It all seems to come down to money and it shouldn't. Sorry I'm a bit of a fanatic about this! I love The Beautiful Game and admire the skill of its players.

Apologies for the double posting. My computer has a mind of its own.
