    Two games were picked by everyone and two were picked by no one, which left us with a truckload of players who scored 5 or 6 goals .. but only one of the eight FT-PL games ended in a draw.

    Last season's FT-PL comp saw three players face relegation: wwe84, LeoDaVinci and dg_dave. All three avoided the drop into the grandstands as both KrivoyRog & LeoDaVinci failed to
    sign-in by the deadline and no-one took the plunge to sign-in as a new player.

    This reduced the field for this year's comp from 18 runners to 16 runners and the length of the FT-PL season from 34 games to 30 games. Scroll to the top of this thread to see which are the eight rounds of the FAPL excluded from the FT Premiership comp.

    It's a seven-way dead-heat out front. The defedning titleholder, illiniman14, won his opening game for a share of the early lead. His spoonless streak now stands at 56 weeks .. it extends all the way back in to week 13 of the 2012-13.

    George95 is the leader on goal difference. He was the only one to pick the away win by Villa. He has continued where he left-off last season, where he finished with a flourish. He was 2nd last after 13 weeks (he won just two of those thirteen) .. but then lost just three of the next 21 games to finish the season in 7th place, his highest position all season. Let's see if this run continues.

    FussBudget won his game 9-5 and, after just two rounds, is the only player with a 100% record. At the other end, three players have lost both of their games.

    Two games were picked by everyone and four were picked by three or fewer, which left us with a truckload of players who scored 5 goals and, unlike last week, we had just 4 winners; and the other half of the eight FT-PL games ended in a draw.

1st vs. last finished in a 4-4 draw and FussBudget loses his 100% win record .. and that means dg_dave is no longer the cellar-dweller. That honour belongs to ozzz2002, who still has a 100% loss record.

This round's FT-PL fixtures were the reverse of last week's. This is, I think, the first time over the last 12 years that the reverse fixtures have followed each other .. that's how they fell out of the barrel. It will happen again in September when the FT-PL resumes after the international break.

Last week FussBudget lost his 100% win record but remained undefeated, along with five other players. This week he lost again (and lost the lead) and 3 of those 5 also lost. We're down to two undefeated unplayers.

No one in the first five won (four lost and one drew), the next three players all won, leaving us with a crowded leader board. One single point separates the first six players.

At the other end ozzz2002 is off the mark (he no longer has a 100% loss record), and climbs off the bottom on GD to allow dg_dave through. They're the last two players looking for their first win.

No one retained their position from last week .. illiniman14 and paper_aero were the biggest movers upwards - six places .. and in the other direction, PaulE dropped eight places.

Rankings are done by goal difference. It's been like that since day dot .. have look at the players above you on equal points in the Table, and prior week/year FT-PL Tables. The HoF/WS countback comes into play when players dead-heat on goal difference (identical F-A). Longhand, the rankinsg are:

[o] goal difference.
[o] most goals scored if GD is the same.         (these two are used by the FAPL, FLC, A-League etc )
[o] HoF/WS differential.
[o] most weekly wins if differential is the same.   (these two are the FT countback rules)
[o] dead-heat tie.
