One game was picked by no-one and one game was a solo pick. Nonetheless, we averaged 60% between us, a strike rate which has been bettered only four times over the 9 years we've been running the FLC comp (see entry in FLC Record Book in the post above this one).

Sypher is still bopping along out front, for the 9th straight week.
N-Bomb retains 2nd place but paper_aero steps off the podium, to make way for Howie72.

BxBarracuda collects this week's wooden spoon with 3/12. We nearly had our first-ever 6/12 wooden spoon in this comp, as everyone else scored 6/12 or better.

The next round is mid-week : FLC [ 16 ] Tue 4th Nov.

Sypher has been dethroned after 9 weeks on top. In a pincer movement, the two Kiwis scored back-to-back weekly wins ..
and N-Bomb is our new leader. Both of them established new
highs for the season.

Dizart was the other weekly winner.

srini701 collects this week's wooden spoon with 2/12 and illiniman14 has now gone 78 weeks without a spoon .. and
we're still counting.

illiniman14 picked three of those draws to celebrate his 80th straight week without a spoon, in style. He's this round's weekly winner with 6/12 and is now a mere 1½ pts off the podium. Two weeks ago it was a 9½ pt deficit.

N-Bomb scores 5/12 and skips away to lead solo. He's put 3 pts between himself and Sypher.

At the other end of the table, LeoDaVinci and ozzz2002 continue their personal duel, to avoid the bottom rung and the end-of-season wooden spoon. One again ozzz2002 has avoided a spoon for 4th straight week and is now just one point behind LeoDaVinci. The deficit three weeks ago was 9 pts.

With summer approaching, FussBudget continues to travel south for the summer. He falls to 11th place to establish a new low for the season.

paper_aero joins Sypher in second place, a new personal high for the season. Howie72 also climbed up into second place, to make it a three-way tie behind N-Bomb.

Dizart is the other weekly winner (also back-to-back). He jumps up onto a a podium spot for the first time; that's a new personal high for the third straight week. There were no new personal lows for the season.

illiniman14 extends his spoon-less run to 85 weeks .. he's now 15 short of a tonne and 9 short of the all-time record for any tipping comp of 94 weeks, set by ozfei in the NFL comp over a period of 5 years & 9 weeks. Another seven rounds and illinimna14 will be spoon-less for three years!

We had four weekly winners .. ozzz2002 scored his third win over the last 5 weeks. He's been on the bottom two rungs for ages (since week 4), but is now just a ½ point behind 3rd last (he was 16 pts behind ten weeks ago).

The first two are threatening to run-away with this, and turn it into a two-horse race. The next round of the FLC comp is in the new year : FLC [ 25 ] Sat 10th Jan : after the Third Round of the FA Cup.

It has been decimated by the FA Cup - four games were played last week, four games were played on Saturday, and four have been postponed. The results of the eight games will be used as plug-ins for future weeks where games are postponed (to keep each round at 12 games) e.g. FA Cup weekends.

Secondly, an 8 game round means the bonus system for 8+/12 and 10+ near-miss perfect doesn't work either .. and if the number of bonus pts are called-on as a tie-breaker as the countacbk numbers are identical, we'll have one round where they didn't work/apply.
