so now is everyone going to have me removed as well? my name may be offensive to some but it was not intentional---- 1st three letters of my name - year of birth -month of birth -- and i had to use that last letter because it was all that was avaiable--- i didn't realize it until a freind brought it to my attention--- by just try to come up with a new name ---- they're all taken--- i have 3 children and none of them even thought to ask about my name -my oldest is a teen --- just have to show them morals and decency in this rough world of today

she694u, I don't find your username offensive at all. If one chooses to create a 'double-entendre' from it, that's in their own mind. And no, no one's going to ban you on that basis.

The username which was the basis of HUNGREESMAN's original post appears to be offensive in and of itself, and probably created for that effect. If the majority of forum members (or at least a plurality) are offended by these things, and complain, then people who post these things will be censured. While 'censorship' will undoubtedly tread upon the perceived 'freedoms' of the foul-mouthed few (everywhere, not just here), the regulars who enjoy participating in these forums have indicated their desire to be free of this type of 'freedom of speech'. Our members make it plain that they want a family-type site. Since Terry owns this site, (lock, stock and bills) he makes the rules and he has chosen to be user-friendly to the folks who want it thus. It's a private web-site, and Terry cannot be made to cater to the whims of every bucket-mouthed scatologist who comes down the pike. Salty talk is OK in it's own milieu. This ain't it!

We're not puritans, and we won't be the morality police. We simply request the same restraint that a reasonable person would exercise when in mixed company (including minor children.) Those who can't talk to us within those rather loose parameters are welcome to use the 'Escape' key. They will find a welcome in other web sites more suitable to their preferences.

Liked your post, she694u; hope you register and join up with the group. You sound like you have interesting things to say.

Oh, PS - I had a female friend who got new license plates for a new car she bought; the plates (regular issue, no vanity plate) read 'HII 69U'. We had a few chortles over that, and she was a good sport about it. DMV didn't recall the plates, either.

Great reply, Gunslinger. I've always wondered why someone would enter a family site like this and deliberately choose a 'questionable' name....is it that they have a bad case of the "Hey everybody!Look at me"'s? If they lack attention and/or affection, let them buy a puppy. And..this is for 'she694u'..if we're to believe that was an innocent creation, 'ICURdumNfullovit' We live in a democracy, the basic definition of which is 'majority rule'. If the majority of site users have a problem with a name, then out it goes. We're under no obligation to explain who we vote for; we're under no obligation to explain why a particular name offends us. Now...case closed, get a grip (and for all you "Hey look at me" types... a life and a puppy) and let's move on.

Sailor Mars, Weed as you call it is not illegal in all locations. This site is not a purely American one.People from many nations frequent this site. Perhaps you should not assume that your laws and standards apply all over the world. Having said that I would agree that the sexually explicit name should have been removed.
