I was wondering does it take longer for certain games to get online ? I made three games all in the same day,two are online the other is not and it has been about two weeks now. Does anyone know why this might be ? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Foxiladi

It takes longer for games to get online if they are either:

- In a category that has no category editor
- In an "overloaded" category that has many more games than others (movies, tv, music)

You might also check that the quiz hasn't been "sent back" to you (the "Ready to go online" button has been unchecked). When I send a quiz back for re-editing, I always notify the author; I don't know if all the other quiz editors do.

I also notify the author immediately if there is a reason I cannot ok a quiz. I edit celebrities and entertainment...if you sent me a quiz it should have been on-line the same day. I edit every day. Sometimes people send quizzes to entertainment that I move to movies, tv, or music because they are better suited to that category. I still approve it for on-line status if its ready. If a quiz is not ready I will not move it anywhere until the corrections I ask for have been made. If you have a quiz that youwrote for tv, movies, or music and its taking too long to get it on-line change the category to entertainment. I will look at it and if its ok I'll approve it and move it back to tv, movies, or music if thats where it should go. I guess I'll ask Terry if he'd like me to take on some more categories to edit. Once you have them down to just the daily ones coming in its easy to keep up. The hard part is wading thru all the old ones. when I started the entertainment category it had over 60 quizzes waiting for approval and it took me 4 days to get thru them all. Now it takes me about 15 minutes a day to edit two categories.

Another thing to check- is your quiz on a topic where several million quizzes on the same topic already exist? Someone may be a rabid fan of Some Particular Group and think adding yet another quiz on the group is necessary because no one has yet done a quiz on the food preferences of the bassist Variety is everything! I really appreciate truly unique quizzes.

I agree with cris. I receive about 3-5 new Back Street Boys and/or Nsync quizzes each day. Most get deleted for having the same info on them. All I ask is that you are original.

Are there categories that have no editors? If a need exists, I'll gladly volunteer my services, if you'll have them. I visit the website daily anyway (I'm addicted) and would like to help if it is needed.
Let me know what I need to do...

Val, I'm sure we can use you. Send an e-mail direct to Terry:
terry@funtrivia.com

and let him know your desire. (Terry's away right now, but should be back within two weeks. Don't get upset if it takes him awhile to answer; he will.)

Due to our group of editors, many of the categories are havign really quick turn around times (a day or two). Some of the larger and more insane categories (music, entertainment, tv, movies) are a little overbearing and we're simpyl getting too many redundant or poorly written games being submitted in those categories.

Yep, we need some more people to help us tackle these large categories. We can have 2 or 3 category editors for each one, so if you're interested drop me a line!

I am currently about 900 emails behind right now (yes, nine HUNDRED), and am going slightly insane.

Let me know here on this board what category you'd like to edit, and I'll do it. At least when there's a topic like this I can keep a train of thought for more than 1/3 of a second!
