Has no one watching the show EVER gotten the joke? I've taken at least five Simpsons quizzes in Quizzyland that ask this question, and all of them have gotten it wrong.

The correct spelling of the name of Bart's teacher is Edna KRABAPPEL.

I'm sorry X I know the last simpsons quiz I let on had a question about that and I looked hard at the spelling. I thought it was correct. I even tried to spell it a couple different ways and none looked right to me. I need a Simpsons reference book or something...I get about six quizzes a day in TV all about the Simpsons. I will go into the quizzes and add the spelling the way you say it should be. Sorry again.

Oh, no reason to be sorry! (In fact, if you want to know the truth... I surprised myself! I'm 99.9% sure I at one time saw an interview with Matt Groening where he said it's spelled, and supposed to be pronounced, in exactly the same way as "crabapple," thus the joke.) As usual, my sources were www.imdb.com and www.thesimpsons.com, both of which are great references for spelling for both the characters and the voice actors/actresses.

I'm just amazed no one ever got the joke!

Don't you love that IMDB? Of course, I wishmore quiz makers would use it - was playing an Austin Powers quiz that said Michael York played Number 2 when it was actually Robert Wagner! I just wish people whould double-check their answers

I use the IMDB so often that I should have bought stock in it long ago! I love that site!!! Has been very helpful in so many ways - has even settled quite a few questions here at work.

ladymacb-- I think I just played that quiz (and don't remember if I got that one right... D'OH!). And I don't remember if it was multiple choice or if it was FITB and I just entered Bob Wagner... but I nkow I played a quiz earlier today where I got a multiple-choice wrong and the correct answer was one of the choices, so it's possible there's still the odd bug in the coding somewheres. Did you send a correction? If you get an indignant reply, it's probably a bug... (I've had that happen a coule of times...)

The Austin Powers quiz in question had SEVEN (yes, count them) seven errors in it so I booted it back to the owner & told him to correct it. Sorry for all of you who took that quiz - nothing is more frustrating even though its just for fun. I never saw those movies (my husband is British and jokingly takes offense) so I didnt know the answer was wrong when I put it online.

Seven errors? I only counted 2!

Im sorry, I should have said 7 errors posted on the board (there were actually only 2 in the quiz, but 7 people complained so thats what came up on the board - this is the most Ive gotten at one time.) I have seen the movie in bits and pieces. My husband and son watched the whole thing but my husband balked at it (although he did laugh a few times!) I think he just pretends to be offended because hes British. I just tell him he has to keep a stiff upper lip...
