FunTrivia.com NHL tipping competition, aka, let's see who wins the most brawls on skates: - the fat lady has finished singing. N-Bomb ends the season with a bang .. he picks 13/15, collects a bonus point for a near-miss perfect .. and we have a dead-heat with George95 at the finish line.
- George95 collects the gold medal on a countback .. he finished with the better weekly wins vs. wooden spoons differential (at +7 vs. +4). He was running 12th after 4 weeks, 10 pts behind the leader. By week 8 this had blown out to a massive 16 pts .. but from there he slowly clawed his way to the top of pile. He was joint leader 12 wks later in week 20.
- ozzz2002 also finished with a bang. He scored 13/15 the hard way .. one of them was a solo pick. He finished with 10 bonus pts for the season, one less than BxBarracuda and wwe84 who finished with 11 apiece.
- N-Bomb finished the season with the fewest bonus points, just the two. He dead-heated for first the hard way.
- the bronze medal was also decided by a tie-beaker .. we had a triple dead-heat for 3rd place between Howie72, srini701 and gtho4 .. their countback figures were +4 vs. +4 vs. +1. The bronze medal was won by Howie72 .. he had more weekly wins (7) than srini701 (6).
1st : George95
2nd : N-Bomb
3rd : Howie72
- Sypher, the defending title holder, collects the last wooden spoon for the season.
- the loss by a countback leaves srini701 off the podium for the first time in five years. The previous five season were: bronze - gold - silver - bronze - silver.
- and that brings us to the end of the 10th edition of the NHL tipping comp at FT. Thank you to BxBaracuda for putting the threads together at the start of the season. Thank you linesmen and women, thank you ballboys and ballgirls. Congratulations to the three medallists!

On the podium five years in a row? In a sport I've never ever seen even on TV? I'll take that any day! Congratulations to George for that fine comeback, and to N-Bomb and Howie for pushing me off the podium ... and many thanks gtho4, for giving me some "bragging rights" here amongst my friends
