This might be a strange photo, they are the contents of a blue plastic bag presented to me before I left the hospital today, it is because I live alone and it is felt that people ought not have to think of getting the milk etc.

I will try to list what I can remember, some has been consumed. smile

A litre of milk
A box with some bread
Coffee
Teabags
Sugar
A carton of orange juice
A pack of fresh made sandwiches
A slice of fruit cake
A small pcket of breakfast cereal
Yoghurt
Jam
Marmalade
Crackers
Cheese - two sorts
Butter
Low fat spread

I have had the juice, sandwiches and cake and tomorrow for breakfast it will be toast and jam - wot, no Marmite? Mind you I did have some at breakfast.

Howie, that is a great photo of a red moon. Far better than anything I could get with my camera.

Sue, welcome back, hope you are feeling better now. I have to say that your goodie bag from the hospital is one of the best ideas I've heard in a long time. I wonder how many people here who live on their own come out of hospital and go home to a house with no fresh milk or bread and no one to get it for them.

I took a photo yesterday of my lunch when I was part way through eating it, to prove that I wasn't exagerating when saying what excellent quality food we have, it is on my iPad so I will perhaps post it tomorrow.

That food bag is a great idea and I suspect it puts the U.S. to shame.

Good to see you back Sue, glad it's all going well so far.

Glad to have you back, Sue. The food bag is such a simple and yet wonderful idea. Wonder why it hasn't spread to other parts yet.

Some ruins we saw in the middle of nowhere.

They've been building in the centre of Harrow since the late 80s, I'm amazed there's still any room for more as it's been continuous ever since.

A view of the Cumberland Basin, Bristol from the Clifton Suspension bridge. The lock in the
lower centre of the photo keeps the water level at the Bristol docks fairly constant throughout
the day as the river Avon which feed the docks is tidal with a fluctuation of around 30 feet
between high and low tides. All very clever.

Lovely scene! And you can't go wrong with flyovers Martin, that's a classic view.

The centre of Muswell Hill, a view that's hardly changed all my life.

yep. We found him yesterday curled up with his dead Mum frown He'd only be a couple days old so bought him home to give him a chance!

We had a new bore put down this week. It might not be much to look at but it's a major deal to have permanent water around here. Will have a pump coming next week and get it going properly. laugh
It goes down 120 metres.

Photo of last week's blood moon. Not a very good photo in terms of clarity because my daughter has my tripod, and I used my "pocket" camera instead of my good one, however, the colour came out well. This is the actual colour and it has not been changed or enhanced in any way.

I've finally found a way (by pure chance) to set up the newer camera for night photography, these are the lights in the centre of Putney

One of the trams around central Christchurch, this was before the earthquakes but I believe they are back running again now.

Great pics of the moon, and of all the other subjects! Typing with a cat on my lap, who said it was time I posted a pic of her, so here she is!
