Goodness, Sue. That sounds absolutely horrendous. I hope you can get some help at home. I'm not sure that Sara is going to forgive you for glossing over how serious this was. I hope you keep well, or as well as you can, until your operation.

You won't get away with it next time, Sue, better start preparing your stories now as Sara won't believe a word you say.

I'm glad you're home safe and away from the snoring chorus. smile

I would have thought that if they found anything inside you Sue, it would be a pearl. Glad to know though that they have a handle on what assails your wellbeing. I wish you the best of luck.

Aren't you supposed to put that in a jar and keep it on the mantle piece when visitors come to call?

Glad you're back.

Glad you're home Sue!
Stones are not a fun thing to have. At all.
They will blast the other ones .. or get rid of them somehow else?

They will not blast them, that is what almost killed me ten years ago! I am having an operation on 14th November, they will crush them to sand so they come away.

I just had a call from the hospital wanting to know my weight so they can get the correct dosage of anticoagulant prescribed for me, I have to stop warfarin five days before my kidney stone surgery and have bridging injections. At least it isn't out of sight, out of mind. I have my pre-admission assessment on 3rd November and they will hand over the stuff at that time.

It's sort of scary and sort of reassuring both at the same time, Sue, isn't it?
It's never pleasant having to face into surgery of any kind, but normally you should be all better again afterwards so it'll be worth the anxiety. And it's reassuring to know that they haven't forgotten you and are taking care to get everything right!
