This will be the 1st ever all Queensland Grand Final

Brisbane Broncos last made the NRL Grand Final was in 2006 against Melbourne Storm

North Queensland Cowboys last made the NRL Grand Final was in 2005 against Wests Tigers

Brisbane Broncos have won 7 premierships 1992, 1993, 1997(Super League), 1998, 2000 & 2006 all under Wayne Bennett as coach

This is North Queensland Cowboys 20th anniversary in the ARL/NRL competition they entered in 1995
